Design entry categories

Design entry specifications

  •  •  Winning pieces will be featured and showcased at Penang Signature Gold, Gems & Jewellery (PSG) Fair 2025.
  •  •  There are no entry limitations; participants may enter all 4 categories in all 2 groups if they meet the entry requirements.
  •  •  Participants are only allowed to submit one (1) entry per category.
  •  •  For participants entering multiple categories, kindly separate the submission for each individual category.

Participant requirements

PSG Jewellery Design Awards 2025 is open to all jewellery designers. All budding and professional jewellery designers as well as students and graduates of all jewellery design disciplines are eligible.

  •  •  Student group: All current students who are pursuing a diploma, degree, or certificate in jewellery design in 2025 (Identification is required); No age restrictions

Employees, officers, directors, agents of Organizer, Sponsors, and Judges, and their immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, children) are not eligible.

Design guidelines

  •  •  Any design cladded with diamonds, colour/precious stones, ivory, hawksbill shell or other materials from any endangered animals is not allowed.
  •  •  It should/would be only made in plain gold jewellery.
  •  •  Hand Sketches and Computer-aided designs are allowed.
  •  •  Each design sheet has to render/illustrate on a single sheet in A4 size with the following specifications:
  •  
    •  •  Size: 216mm (w) x 297mm (h) (A4 size)
    •  •  Resolution: 300dpi
    •  •  Colour: Full colour
    •  •  Orientation: Clearly mark the top and bottom of the design.
    •  •  Format: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pdf
  •  •  There should be no words/texts or descriptions on the design sheet.

Submission Guidelines

Kindly complete the submission form upon submission by including documents such as:

  •  •  Photocopy of Passport/Identification Card
  •  •  Photocopy of Student Identification (If submitting for the student group)

Kindly provide a description of the design along with the submission form with the following details (in English)

  •  •  Description of the piece (Size, weight, and overall dimensions)
  •  •  Concept of the design: Provide a narrative that explains how your design reflects and interprets the theme of up to 250 words

Participant will be notified via email the receipt of entry by the organiser.
